Abi Clarke

In the olden days, i.e. the early 2020s, comedians could have expected to spend many years performing across the UK in stand-up comedy, before being invited to join a television panel show, and later selling out an arena tour. It's not easy right now. Comedy is an art form that has been art that has been able to continue to be performed in front of an audience in person. But, we're not going to see arena tours anytime coming. However, one comedian from Bristol has managed to reach a huge global audience through the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke never set out to become an internet celebrity. Abi, who is 24, lives in Henbury and started making online videos "to create a network of people who enjoy my standup comedy." "I was performing a lot more gigs in Devon for males 50 and above, so I began creating online videos in the hope that I could build an audience of people who would appreciate my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
